Sachin is my Inspiring Indian My favourite sports are cricket, football and car racing. Of all the games, I watch cricket most often. There are many favourite sports stars in the national and international sports. Of all of them, I am a great admirer of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as the most hero of our times. Sachin has just completed his 20 years in international cricket. I feel it a great privilege for a person to represent his country for 20 long years. He made his admirers feel proud by brining home many laurels to the country. He is a cricketer with maximum number of runs. He has been admired by many legends like Sir Donald Bradman, Sunil Gavaskar, Sir Vivian Richards and the like. Although, he is holding many world records, Sachin is a very simple, humble and sincere person. His achievements have never made him into a proud person. He treats everybody around with the same love, care and respect. He is definitely a role model of young India with rich heritage and culture. Sachin is most inspiring person around to be followed by his dignified behaviour. Even after playing for India for 20 years, his commitment towards the game remains the same. He gets along with all the team mates in a very friendly way. I salute him for his dedication, simplicity, down-to-earth-attitude and love towards our country. I am a young inspired Indian and thanks to Sachin Tendulkar for igniting my dreams.

I love the King of Pop He inspired me all along and has captured my heart. He is none other than Michael Jackson-the ‘King of the Pop’.He was a great American musician & and dancer too. I like him because of his contribution to music. He is the most popular pop singer I have come across in my life. He impressed me with the songs like ‘Dangerous, Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, Black or White, You are not Alone’. Among all the songs, I like the song Beat It the most, because it has some nice beats & the video of the song is very scary and the we kids are too curious to know what happens next. Talking about his dance, his ‘Moon Walk’ Gymnastics has captured my heart. He can twist and turn his body in all angles and all directions. I always try to imitate his dance steps while watching his videos on ‘You Tube’. I also try to sing some of his songs, although, I don’t understand all the words. Micheal Jackson changes his appearance often. His skin color has changed from dark tan to pale white. He has also undergone plastic surgery on his face several times. I happened to read this information in one of the newspapers. Since, he had a lot of health problems, and he was continuously taking a lot of drugs. He had lost a lot of weight as well. He died at an early age, while he was 50 years old. I have heard people say, that his personal doctor gave him an overdose of medicine and therefore he died. Even though, he is dead, his fans think that he is alive through his songs. He was the best and will always remain the best. He is my inspiring idol.

I love Horowitz's books My favorite icon is an author named Anthony Horowitz. He is an amazing author and I love all the books written by him. He keeps the suspense till the end and never reveals the ending of the novel in one page. He has won many awards for his books from the world famous Alex Rider series. Many of his novels like Skeleton Key, Point Blanc have endings which is not easy to guess. In the middle of the novel he places the hero in such a situation which is hard to get out of! He uses technology which might take ages to create. He turns children’s toys into dangerous weapons. For example in Scorpia, one of his novels, he turns a Rubik’s cube into a hand grenade and a brace which acts as a radio transmitter. I gain a lot of knowledge from his books. I’m sure anyone who is interested in spy and detective stories will get addicted to his novels. I found it hard to put down even for a minute. He has inspired me and I hope that one day I might become like him.

I am a huge Medha Patkar fan I am a fan of Medha Patkar. She is a social worker who is very concerned about the rights of the poor people and tribals. Medha Patkar has taken up many issues, but she is best known for opposing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river. The Sardar Sarovar dam seeks to increase irrigation and improve water facilities in Gujarat and Rajasthan. But Medha Patkar and some other experts say that the dam will help only rich land owners while affecting lakhs of poor tribals and villagers, whose houses will be destroyed by the rising water of the Narmada river. In fact, she organised the Narmada Bachao Andolan movement to draw attention to this issue and also went on a hunger strike for the rights of tribals. I feel Medha Patkar is fearless and I admire her for this. Though she has not succeeded in getting the government to stop the work, she has succeeded in drawing attention to this issue. She has received a large number of awards, including the Right Livelihood Award, which is also known as the Alternative Nobel award. I admire Medha Patkar for her simplicity, sincerity and fearlessness. She is my Inspiring Indian.

My dad is my role model My dad is my role model because he has tremendous patience. He helps me learn new things. If I make any mistake, he corrects me and does not scold me for it. He helps me in all my school projects and never loses his patience. This is the best part of him. I want to be like him, never to lose patience when i am teaching someone something. He never refuses to play with me. Even if he does, he has a reason for it. He tells me to finish my homework first and then play. Despite a hard day at work, he still has energy and patience to sing and dance with me. He makes it a point never to disappoint me. He is a lot of fun to be with and a person who I look up to. I love my mother also so much.

I am inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro (born 5 February 1985), commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winner for Spanish club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after having transferred to Real Madrid from Manchester United in a deal worth £80 million. His contract with Real Madrid is believed to have made him the highest-paid football player in the world. At the age of eight, Ronaldo played for amateur team Andorinha, where his father was the kit man. In 1995, Ronaldo signed with local club Nacional, and, after a title-winning campaign, he went on a three-day trial with Sporting Club de Portugal. Ronaldo became Manchester United's first-ever Portuguese player when he signed for £12.24 million after the 2002–03 season. On 26 June 2009, Real Madrid confirmed that Ronaldo would join the club on 1 July 2009, after agreeing terms and signing a six-year contract. He was presented to the world media as a Real Madrid player on 6 July, where he was handed the number 9 jersey. The winger of Real Madrid, Ronaldo is 6ft 1inch tall. I am inspired by Ronaldo and he is my role model. Ronaldo's father, José Dinis Aveiro, died of alcoholism at age 52 when Ronaldo was 20. Ronaldo does not consume alcohol and does not smoke. In March 2009, Ronaldo donated £100,000 to the hospital which helped save his mother's life after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. Ronaldo's autobiography, titled "Moments," was published in December 2007.

My best friend is special to me A friend is someone very special. To me, my friend is the best. He is the one who appreciates me in my achievements, consoles me when I am sad, corrects me in my mistakes and inspires me to move ahead. I am there for him and he is there for me. It is not always possible for us to agree with each other. There may have been times when we have different opinions and we may end up in a fight or an argument. Many times we may have stood in the same competitions, where it is necessary to display good spirit than friendship. Believe me, it is difficult to compete with someone who you consider your best friend. But it is when you give it your best that you show your true affection to your friend. Therefore it is necessary to put all your spirit in a competition regardless of who your opponent is. It is certainly what your true friend will want you to do. In the end it is not all about winning or losing, but it is all about sportsmanship.
